How long are herbal blends good for?
There’s nothing quite like smoking fresh herbs. When you open a tin of Bear Blend, the freshness is so fluffy you can taste the spring of the Earth.
That said, assuming you keep these herbs in good conditions (room temperature or cooler in a dry dark area), the blends won’t necessarily go bad. Smoking older herbs certainly won’t hurt you. However, the herbs can lose their potency over time.
Fresh is best. That’s why we label each blend according to best buy date, so you know you’re getting herbs that are practically right off the vine. We find that blends are at their highest potency for 24 months, slowly tapering off from there.
But if you find some old herbs you forgot about, toke them if you’ve got them. No harm, no foul. It’s like finding an old bud in the couch cushions: Why the hell not?
